Terms of use
Last updated: 1 October 2026
Who these terms are between
These terms cover your use of the Community Manager Toolkit plugin and this website. The publisher is Jason Basel, an individual based in the United Kingdom (contact: jason@communitylab.ai). By installing or using the plugin you agree to these terms.
Licence
The plugin and its source files are released under the MIT licence. You may use, copy, modify and share them under that licence’s terms. The licence text in the repository is the authoritative statement of your rights to the software.
Provided as is, with no warranty
The plugin is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. It is a set of instructions that your AI assistant follows, and AI assistants can make mistakes. Outputs (matches, reasons, drafts, figures and reports) may be wrong or incomplete.
- Check every output before you rely on it or share it, especially figures in reports and the names in any introduction.
- The plugin does not give legal, compliance or professional advice.
- To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the plugin or this website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the plugin to:
- send spam or any bulk unsolicited messaging, or to contact people who have not opted in to hearing from your community;
- use personal data without a lawful basis (for example member or guest data you are not entitled to use, or scraped data), or in breach of data protection law such as the UK GDPR and GDPR;
- share people’s contact details or profiles with others without their consent;
- infer, record or act on sensitive attributes (such as sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, health or disability) or to discriminate against or harass anyone;
- break the terms of your AI assistant, the tools you connect, or any messaging platform you use, or break the law.
You are responsible for the messages you send and the data you use. The plugin drafts; you decide what is sent, to whom, and whether you are entitled to send it.
Third-party services
The plugin works inside third-party AI assistants and can work with third-party tools you connect. Those services are provided by other companies under their own terms, and I am not responsible for them. Claude is a trademark of Anthropic, PBC; ChatGPT and OpenAI are trademarks of OpenAI. This project is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by either company.
Changes and availability
I may change, suspend or stop the plugin or this website at any time, and may update these terms. Changes take effect when posted here, and the date above shows when they were last updated. If you keep using the plugin after a change, you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer you keep any rights you have to bring a claim where you live.
